Sommerbilder rund um den Zillergrund
Active through the summer
In the summer months when the white slopes become lush green alpine pastures, an extensive walker's paradise unfolds in the Mayrhofen Hippach Holiday Region.
Long before tourism arrived in the Zillertal, alpinists had genuine "peak" experiences here. The Zillertal Alps National Park, an "area of tranquillity" on the Zillertal high ridge (1,000-3,509 m) encompassing 372 km2, is full of impressions - with almost 80 glaciers, three large reservoirs, as well as several mountain and corrie lakes, the landscape extends over all altitudes of the inner Alps.
The impressive nature in the valley also offers a diverse summer world with unforgettable insights, providing every guest with a personal holiday experience: Whether it be an activity, wellness, walking or adventure holiday. And those wishing to get into top gear and discover the region under their own steam will find the best touring recommendations and hut treks here. An extensive range of summer offers - with a colourful variety of leisure activities in the great outdoors awaits you!
The Ahorn cable car carry you quickly and comfortably to lofty heights. The outdoor leisure pools in Mayrhofen and Hippach will give you a refreshing experience and Mayrhofen Tourism Association has recommendations and addresses for all types of leisure activities.
We offer our guests the perfect formula for their holiday. Visit the Mayrhofen/Hippach Holiday Region and experience the sheer variety of the summer! Endless freedom, pure enjoyment of life and simply being human - the summer can be so lovely.
Mouth-watering hours with culinary highlights in one of the many mountain restaurants, cafés and pubs; accompanied by unforgettable musical moments with a dazzling line-up of culture.

About 150 years ago, walkers, mountain-climbers and nature-lovers discovered this paradise for themselves.

The Zillertal National Park is perfect for everybody who wants to listen to the sound of the forest, find quiet places and enjoy the beauty of nature.

It covers 379 km², an area almost twice the size of Liechtenstein. The National Park offers the hiker eight shelters/huts as well as an extraordinary range of flora and fauna. Because it is free of roads and cable cars, you get to glimpse animals usually only seen in books.
In this day and age, because of fast encroaching development, it is important to preserve nature.
